In other words, applications rely on these common libraries but they are not part of the applications themselves. These are essentially a common/shared part of the OS and are generally not considered to be part of an application. If I'm not mistaken, the MSVCR110.dll is from the Visual Studio 2012 version. The MSVCR*.dll files are libraries from Microsoft's Visual C++ Runtime aka Visual C++ Redistributable. I get an error message saying: "Lightroom can not start because MSVCR110.dll is missing".

I have been running Lightroom 6.1, stand-alone version, on Windows 8.1 with no problems. I would contact Adobe customer support for their assistance. I am running LR 6.1 (non stand alone version) under Win 10 with no issues at all. Has anyone with the stand-alone version upgraded to Windows 10 and been able to open Lightroom?

On this forum, some have said that they have opened Lightroom after upgrading to Windows 10 with no problem however, I can find no mention of whether it was the cloud or stand-alone version. On the Adobe website, they show Lightroom 6 requires Windows 7 or 8.1, but does not mention Windows 10. Anyone know how I can add the missing dll file or is that really the problem? I have tried calling Adobe support and after being on-hold for an hour, gave up. I have tried reinstalling, but get the same error message. I get an error message saying: "Lightroom can not start because MSVCR110.dll is missing" and suggests reinstalling Lightroom.
